Studio De Luca is a creative studio led by Karen and Chris De Luca, partners in work and life. With international backgrounds spanning Berlin, Los Angeles, Munich, and Detroit, we've built brands, shot campaigns, and developed go-to-market strategies for clients across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and wellness.
Our studio is based at the Landlmühle, a restored mill and farm estate in the Bavarian countryside. Surrounded by nature and a community of artists and makers, it serves as both our studio and a natural shoot location.

The founders
KAREN De Luca
Brand Strategy & Creative Direction
Karen studied Media and Communications in Berlin, then spent three years at Marc O'Polo working across PR, social media, and campaign production for one of Europe's largest fashion houses. She then moved to Los Angeles and led marketing at P.F. Candle Co., ideating and art directing their cross-channel campaign strategy during a period of rapid growth. Back in Germany, she led social strategy for the German Dr Joe Dispenza account, scaling it into one of the fastest-growing in the wellness space. She founded Studio De Luca in 2019. Today she leads brand strategy, art direction, styling, and go-to-market planning. Every project starts with strategic thinking and ends with her hands on the visual details — finding the gap between a brand's potential and its presence, then closing it.
CHRIS De Luca
Creative direction & Photography
Chris came up in electronic music — over a decade as one half of Funkstörung, remixing Björk and Wu-Tang Clan, releasing internationally, touring worldwide. Along the way he produced music and sound design for brands like Patagonia, Levi's, Toyota, and Puma. That background shaped how he approaches everything: mood, rhythm, texture, timing. When he moved into photography, the instinct carried over. He shoots on both film and digital, with an art director's eye for making commercial work feel genuine. Italian-German roots, an electronic music past, and a deep attention to craft. Today he leads all creative production at Studio De Luca: photography, video direction, and the visual systems that hold a brand's world together.
